Contraceptive prevalence rate (any method)

DefinitionPercentage of women of reproductive age (15-49) who are using (or whose partner is using) a modern contraceptive method.
Contraceptive methods include female and male sterilisation, injectable and oral hormones, intrauterine devices, diaphragms, spermicides and condoms, natural family planning and lactational amenorrhoea.

The data from Demographic Health Surveys is based on women surveyed. Data are often reported only for women who are sexually active (in a marital or consensual union).
